  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Sancho and his manager have been at loggerheads since the winger claimed he was being made a "scapegoat" after his performances in training were criticised. Since then, the winger has not played for the club and has been excluded from the squad altogether.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

A new report from the Daily Mirror now claims that Ten Hag has made the decision to cut Sancho loose in January, whether he apologises to him or not. Ten Hag previously jettisoned Cristiano Ronaldo after he criticised the club publicly and has done the same to Sancho. There is said to be interest, much like Ronaldo's exit, from Saudi Arabia, with Al-Ettifaq considering a January swoop.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

There is also reported to be interest from both Borussia Dortmund and Juventus but Sancho has a contract worth £250,000-per-week, making any January exit complicated. A loan is therefore more likely than a permanent transfer.

    WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

United are next in action against Copenhagen in the Champions League before they face Manchester City in a huge derby next weekend. Sancho is unlikely to be involved in either game.
