ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Manchester United's struggles seem to have no end at the moment and Amorim's side's attempts to get a result against Newcastle United at Old Trafford were dashed in the fourth minute of the clash as Alexander Isak put the Magpies 1-0 up. Joelinton made it 2-0 before the 20th minute and effectively ended the game as a contest. Neville could not hide his frustration during the game as he saw the Red Devils comfortably beaten.

WHAT NEVILLE SAID
There was further misery for Manchester United as summer signing Joshua Zirkzee was hauled off in the first half and jeered by supporters. Neville then delivered his verdict on United to Sky Sports: “I actually feel sorry for him, I really do. I know he earns a lot of money but there’s a human being in there. And he’s being jeered off.
"It's absolutely brutal. I haven’t seen that too many times in the 43 years I’ve been coming to Old Trafford. He’s going straight down the tunnel and I actually don’t blame him because sometimes it’s a massive embarrassment. He’s not played well, let’s be clear. You're watching the worst pound for pound football team in the country, bar none.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Manchester United have remained all the way down in 14th place in the Premier League standings and are now just seven points clear of the relegation zone after Ipswich Town's 2-0 win over Chelsea at Portman Road. Amorim's job is likely not in trouble despite having won just four of his opening 11 matches with the Red Devils in all competitions but it's clear he's facing a tough job turning the team's fortunes around.
